Check out my little clips. Comments welcome. These 2 clips are one take rhythm, and then one take lead tracks. Drums are from cakewalk drummer. Hopefully there will be plenty more where these came from.

I like it. Not bad. But sometimes I feel it needs some more space between the guitar playing the lead melody.
The lead is playing all the time.
When I listened to it I felt like I wanted some more space in the melody.
Think of the lead as you are talking to people and telling a story.
If you talk all the time people will find you disturbing. They will also need some space between everything you say to let everything you said sink in.
This is just my opinion. Don't take it as the absolute truth.
At 0:48 there are some notes that just doesn't fit there. At least that's what my ears tells me.
The melody could need som improvement. Close your eyes and listen to the rhytm track without playing your guitar and see what you can come up with melody wise.

In a near future you will write amazing songs. I am sure of that.

Thanks for the reply. I can definatly see what you mean about spaces. And there are definatly some notes that don't fit in there. Maybe I will redo the leads and see how that works. Its all a work in progress!!
