Need Critique

Hey all, new member..been browsing this forum for a few days in preperation to buy some new equipment. I was a regular gigging guitarist ten years ago, but quit, but thinking about picking up the axe again. Not sure if I should go for trying to actually gig or just play in the bedroom, so I just wanted the opinion of some current players of where you think my skills are at. I just started playing with a drummer and a bass player in a basement somewhere, and while we were working out a section I just improvised this little solo. It's not shredding or anything, but, is it any good?

Thanks in advance...and yeah, I used an old Ibanez RG570ss on that

Re: Need Critique

Sounded good to me.

Reminded me of Zakk Wylde (definately a good thing). In terms of structure was that based mainly on pentatonics? I thought it had that kind of feel, I liked it.

I would gig dude, you obviously have retained much talent after ten years off

yes ...very good indeed... shouldn't have quit as a gigging guitarist ten years ago, would have been better if you didn't quit...

Re: Need Critique

Thanks so much guys..that means alot. And it was off the cuff, so knowing me it was probably pretty pentatonic. I'm just getting the hang of playing again.and need to rebuy alot of equipment..I just kept my ax and had a POD2 which I played through for kicks and giggles.
