New Acoustic song

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd share this song of mine. This one came from the heart, and well, I'm kinda happy with it.

I recorded this with my new Seagull Acoustic guitar, and an RG421 with EVO's (strings on the 421 really needed to be changed, but ah well), on my new machine that I only just finished building -

It's a watercooled P4 2.6c overclocked to 3Ghz, Audigy2 platinum EX w/ break out box, 1 GB 500Mhz RAM, 2x 120GB SATA WD1200JD Hard drives in RAID 0, etc, etc, etc....

The song was recorded on this machine with Cakewalk Pro Audio using a brand spanking new SHURE SM-57.

Hope the right feelings are put across with this song. Let me know what you think. Any criticisms welcome. Well...as long as you don't flame me, cause this song means alot to me.

Here's the link:

If that link doesn't work try this one which will bring you to a page where you can select to download the song:

Good stuff. I love a nice acoustic song, and this is a nice acoustic song
I have to disagree with sacredseventh here, I think it stands fine without vocals.

My singer wants to put a vocal line to it. But I'm hesitant to let him.

Thanks again guys

I'm letting my singer try and put a vocal line to it. There's no real structure to the song though, but he wants to give it a go.

Anymore reviews? It's a pretty cruisey easy going song, but if you know the story behind it it becomes a lot sadder. That's what one of my mates here told me after he listened to it. He went through the whole debacle with me and my x. I was writting the song when we were still together. Only finished recently - It's been about 4 months since I spoke to her last.

I'm thinking of burning it to CD and leaving a note of some sort with the CD at her door. The note would be something to the effect of, "thankyou for everything that we had, I still think about you and sometimes hope that you think about me..." etc etc...

Anyway, what do you guys think? yay or nay to the CD idea?

i didn't download it until i read the story but dammit you pulled off the emotions there.
great acoustic playing and that harmonized lead is like the icing on the cake.
if your mate can sing well get some vocals on it!
