Nice tone dude!!!

WHat's your setup cuz I really dig the sound that's coming out of your first axe (which by the way looks awesome in all white ).

Again, I think you should raise your voice when you speak but your vids are really cool man!

BTW Nice accent! (just kidding)

cool, jim. I love the jimmy J chronicles! You're gonna have to release them on DVD for us all soon haha.

Well, i thought the paf in the bridge on the 550 sounds much better with that particular sound than the fred in your 570- the fred sounds much more trebly and evil. Great Idea mate!

Yeah, i'd love to try the patch mate- ive got some very similar but that ones sounds really cool.

Is your amp (bandit aint it?) valve or digital? And also, if you're going to put the Gt6 settings up then could you attach your amp settings too please?

Also, what was the song- i cant remember the name of it

Cheers coba

Hey Again!

here are all the settings i used for that sound

the peavey bandit is an old 1980`s Transistor amp, Peavey Bandit 75 Solo Series

My amplifier settings are:
this is between 1 and 10

Clean Channel
Volume: 2
Bright: On
Low:8
Mid:3
High:3
Presence:6
Reverb:0

I turn down the presence now and again. no one likes a soun that kills their ears, great for when you turn it up.

My GT 6 settings are

GT6 set to line/phones

amp type: Clean Twin
Gain 34
Bass: 64
Middle: 83
trebble: 54
presence 0
level 91
bright on
gain sw middle
speaker sw on
sp type original
mic set center
mil level 100
direct level 0

Overdrive/dist
type: distortion
drive 80
bass +4
trebble: +17
level 50

Delay
p01: medium delay

reverb:
normal plate

eq:
low 0db
lo-mid 500hz
low-midq 1
low mid eq +2db
hi midf 2.00khz
hi midq 0.5
hi-mid eq +5
high eq -20 db
level 0db

fx1:
compressor
p01: normal compressor

utility->glob eq
low eq 0db
high eq 0db

Hope this helps you to try and get that jimmy sound!!!!!

cheers all

jim - if I may -
I like the tone, but on one hand, I knew instantly you were playing
with a processor. I think you can get more balls out of your guitars
'cause you got 'em set up nice. If I didn't see it, I wouldn't have
been able to tell you switched guitars...I saw the first video you did
and your guitars were growling...I can't remember what set-up you
had though.

I use a processor to record mostly, playing live to a backing track
they just don't set well with the mix to me. Gotta have a pedal.
and MEGA props for using the Peavey Bandit, the older Peaveys
are monsters

nice vid

But, you really have to do something about the volume level next time! As your microphone (in the vid) felt on the floor, my subwoofer (with the volume cranked up to hear your voice) felt on the floor too.

I personally liked the sound of the 2nd guitar better, little bit brighter/more defined. I don't think it fit that "riff/sound" better though. I liked the first guitar for the riff you were playing, but as far as something in the broad spectrum of things I liked the 2nd guitar more. Hope that made sense to everyone.
