New Rusty videos

Rusty with his band Outworld, nice to hear him in a band context. That RG7 looks huge on him haha, plus he's wearing it super high, very metal that \m/

Re: New Rusty videos

Actually Rusty sounds pretty damn good in the whole progressive metal context. Too bad though the quality of the recording, I couldn't hear Rusty in the mix. Maybe he's just playing too fast for my ears.

But it's a nice surprise the guy actually has some really killer phrasing!

They really show his sense for melody, vibrato etc.

Re: New Rusty videos

I made those videos for Rusty and was the cameraman too. That was from a show here in Houston at a club no more than 1/2 mile from my house on 9/3/05. I have the entire Outworld and Stride set on MiniDV tape but the audio was a bit distorted during the vocals. The audio from the camera (which is in the clips) is hit or miss depending where the camera picked up the stage mix. It was numbing loud at the show and I'm surprised it came out as well as it did. I produced a DVD for Outworld of the entire show but haven't gotten feedback from the band since they played at the Progpower fest in Atlanta. I'll make more videos if they want me to.

When I last spoke to Rusty he said Outworld may play again in Houston in October or November. I'm working with the club to get a direct audio feed from the board and will work with multiple camera angles as well.
