I took a lot of trips there, and when I started writing that song, I was thinking about the way it feels to wake up there. Slow and quiet in the morning, but it warms up quickly.

I have a lot of friends there and it always feels like a very comfortable homecoming when I'm in Shreveport, so I named a song after the weekends spent there.
