She is definitely very technically skilled, but I find all of these videos rather boring because they're all more or less the same. When one of these girls writes their OWN music which is equally as impressive as Paganini (or atleast kinda sorta close) then I'll be truly impressed.

Wow! Bitter, table of one, your table is ready.
Although a lot of classical music doesn't move me, I can appreciate the technical difficulty of it and admire the dedication it takes to develop that proficiency. There are TONS of players in all genres who wrote their own music that was mediocre or awful who can't play their instruments well at all and still had commercial success. And she may well write her own stuff too as far as you know.

She is really quite amazing....
That arrangement is seriously cool... would glady chuck all my electrics to be able to play like that.
I dont think there are many people in the world who would agree that paganini was even an average composer for his time. He certainly wasnt famous for his compositions... have a littel read

Re: Pick Your Jaws Up Boys, More girls and Paganini
Awesome stuff, but I can't help but feel that when she was 3 years old, her parent's gave her a guitar and said "You are going to be a virtuoso, you will go to lessons every week that we will pay for and you will practice hard every day."
BTW, that isn't sour grapes or anything, she's awesome and deserves credit where it's due, but doesn't it feel like that could be the case? It's kind of like the way how you look at some young gymnasts, how do they know that they want to compete in the olympics when they are 3 years old?
Either way, get that girl a 7vwh and some distortion!

Re: Pick Your Jaws Up Boys, More girls and Paganini
That's some sick neo-classical shred without the Neo part... Makes me want to turn my electrics back to fancy wall ornaments...
It's videos like these that makes you want to either play more and get better or just give up on the guitar.
(+1 on getting that girl a Jem and distortion)

Re: Pick Your Jaws Up Boys, More girls and Paganini
I met a violinist who gave me some Paganini sheet music. Man, you should see it, it looks like heavy scribble with black confetti thrown all over the place. It took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to play three measures.
He told me Paganini wrote violin duets played on a single violin. The violin parts were accutally much more complicated than this caprice. He showed my some, and even though he had been playing for 50 years he was no where near good enough to play them. He said that very few people are.
Paganinni is so underrated. IMO, he is in the top 5 greatest musicians ever.
