Re: pics of my strat project.

I have a silly question. Why put "Fender" on it if it's not? Why not show off your skills and put your name on it?

Re: pics of my strat project.

Thats a legitemate question...
It's just part of the whole "vibe" of the guitar to me. I'm kind of a vintage guy and like the look of a strat. The headstock shape and logo is just an awsome classic look. Nothing else comes close for me.
I am thinking of making my own neck and body from scratch next time and if I do I'll definately put my name on that.

Re: pics of my strat project.

Looks really nice... Some day I would like to own a Fender Strat myself, or at least a Strat... I already have a Super Strat so it doesn't get any better than that, just need something for aside.

I need to touch up a couple of imperfections, and one more coat of primer.

Re: pics of my strat project.

You made a good choice for colour there. If you put gold hardware on it, you'll have one classy guitar.

Re: pics of my strat project.

Thats just the primer, not the final color, but now that you mention it white with gold would be nice.

No, I got the idea from one of those Fender Custom Shop vintage reissues (you know, the ones that were Ash and in white and used to have gold for an option).

Slapping on gold hardware would still look nice on blue.

Re: pics of my strat project.

I would go with chrome hardware and "aged" white parts and pickguard. What pickups are you planning to put in it?
