Re: pics of my strat project.

Yes Daphne blue is what I was shooting for. I think it's a little darker than what I had planned but it should work out alright.

I have a chrome vintage style bridge coming from a 2005 American standard strat. The tuners are also off of the same strat, as well as strap butons, backplate, knobs, neck plate, input jack etc...
I'm thinking of putting on a graphite nut and graphite string trees. I have a white pickguard but it's not aged. I think I'll start with that one I have and see how it looks.
As for pickups I'm still undecided. I like the look of three single coils but I'm really thinking of putting some kind of humbucker in the bridge like a Tone Zone S or a Super Distortion S.
Thanks for the compliments and I'll post more photos as I progress.

I think that will be really beautiful after the wet sanding and the clearcoating. Just one word of advice... PATIENCE!

I've always been a fan of seafoam green and british racing green if you're looking for color suggestions. Looks like it'll be a sweet guitar when it's finished, i gotta get me a strat!

What about a mini Tone Zone... or whatever they call those (you know, the single coil sized TZ)...

Looking great so far man, congrats!

Re: pics of my strat project.

After clear coating. Now I have to wait about 30 days before I can buff it out and polish it.

ps. please ignore the messy room It's a storage area that needs to be cleaned up. I just don't have time with more important things like building guitars and such.

Re: pics of my strat project.

Okay I couldn't wait. I did some wet sanding up to 1500 grit and polishing. I'll probably wet sand a little with 2000 grit and polish again in a couple of weeks.
