podxt sound for satch style

marshall model
somewhat bright cab model
between 2.5 out of 4 for the gain
EQ with some bass but not overwhelming, lots mids, and a little less treble

Friends was actually recorded on a Mesa Mark IV I believe. You probably won't get that tone *exactly* with a Marshall.

I love his tone, he gets so much volume out of his guitar's body, just insane. And with those treble boosters he can sound very acoustic aswell when he turns the volume down. Amazing tone!
