Re: Progressive metal from Finland!

Hey you all again! Long time no see...

Sorry for the bump, but here's a short update what's going on with us. We've had a great singer onboard for over a year now. More songs are in the making and we've done some smaller gigs around Helsinki area. Next one being on May 16th @ Semifinal. Come and stop by if you're around

Here's a teaser of our most recent creations:

Keep on rocking!

Smile

Full new song!

Hi guys,

We've been busy but had enough time to record a couple of songs during the summer. For this one we even managed to shoot a video! It's written back in August 2012 and we're especially excited about this one, because it's the first one for us that we did with vocals. Hopefully you'll enjoy it!

Here's the video: http://youtu.be/QBIcaDufsj4

Keep on making good music guys and feel free to comment!

Here's our latest prog creation, more of a rock approach than the previous one. Hopefully some of you will enjoy it!

I actually love it when bands do that. Pink Floyd often did.

Well said and then again, I totally understand that it's not for everyone.

Anyone who pays homage to the Floyd in any way deserves respect. Some stuff the Floyd writes is a bit much for me to handle at times but overall I love their approach to music.

Yup, can't disagree with you. Pink Floyd is one of the greatest groups ever and I think they affect music written today way more than people even realize.

P.S. There's more stuff coming from us in the near future so stay tuned if you're diggin' our stuff so far.

Re: Progressive metal from Finland!

Hopefully this still fits to be considered as 'in the near future'?

Here's the latest song which was finished couple of days ago. It's more in the metal area of things, well, you'll be the judge. The guitars (Ibanez RG2550 with stock pickups) were recorded through a Mesa F-50 (leads) and ENGL Thunder 50 (rhythms). Enjoy and let us know what you think!

Hi Matias,

It's the galaxy white one, same guitar that can be seen on the 'Escape To Reality' video couple of posts above. This model: http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/RG2550MZ

Do you have it in black or white, too?

I have it in White. It's my main axe right now for Eb tuning. I love it. Plays so well.

Good choice! And now that you mentioned, might setup my guitar for Eb since I've had that in mind for some time now.

Do you still have stock IBZs in it? Mine is a 2012 but those 2012 IBZs sound really nice. I've heard some years they sounded pretty bad.

The ones I have sound really nice in Eb, they have a heavier tone that I want to get for when I'm playing Stratovarius songs (Timo Tolkki had EMGs in his old ESPs).

Re: Progressive metal from Finland!

Yeah, stock IBZ pups in it and they seem to do the trick very well, both in standard E and drop-D tunings.

Good to hear they rock in Eb, too. Are you relatives with Timo or just happen to have the same last name?
