[Project] JPM on a budget Here We Go :)

Ok the point of this thread is to make a custom JPM style guitar on a budget. I will list resources and also prices thru out the whole post.

Here is a picture I mocked up on how I want this to look, It will have a JPM3 design but reversed. Also I will be loading it with Black and White zebra Dimarzios, Lay out will be the same as a standard RG, Headstock will be changed to the larger block letter Gold Ibanez.



First step was to hunt down a body to start with. This body was purchased off Evilbay for $30 shipped. Not to shabby since it came in better condition that the seller described(Always A PLUS)

The body is a RG420 and yes I know I know the dissappointment it will sport a stock Lo TRS trem. Remember I said budget

I buffed out the minor pick scratches with 3M compound and shes awaiting the graphic stickers from www.universaljems.com

Nice looking body. I hear you on the Lo-TRS. my S 7420 has one but surprisingly enough, it is slowly growing on me. I still prefer the Lo-Pro Edge on my other guitars though. Cool project. Sounds like alot of fun and I bet it's going to look nice. I really liked what you did to your 7321.

Nice... Remember that John's 7's pups (only one with b/w ones) had them "parallel" not mirrored

thanks for the heads up but this isnt a clone, this is how I would like a JPM to be..
