Re-recorded a song I wrote in 1999

Hi,

I re-recorded an old song of mine that I wrote (and recorded) in sept 1999, in my parents home on a PC.

Tbh, I hadn't heard this song in quite some time, and the bends and lack of vibrato and the intro solo got to me. So I had to fix it.

(please excuse the name, naive, young, you know...)

Thanks for listening.

I like the unison bend on the original, as more dirt is always good dirt

You are definitely right about everything else though. Though I wish you remade the intro solo as well instead of scrapping it completely. The first 5 or so notes were good ones, sans phrasing skills

Though please tell me. Why in the world is there no vibrato on the original? I mean, not to blast apart your past or anything, but vibrato is the first thing you learn after how to pick and your learn first riff or so

Thanks WMerkert

Thanks too Magical Muffin . Yep, it's strange. I'm self taught and no one ever really showed me vibrato when I was starting out. I learnt guitar by learning a lot of Metallica (kill em all through to the black album), Poison, and Led Zep. All from TAB, and all while trying to mimic the album's perfectly (except for the vibrato...lol). I mean, just listen to Hammett and tell me where his vibrato's at. hehehe.

It wasn't until I saw a youtube video of Steve Vai talking about working on vibrato, and looking like he was almost sexually abusing the string that I decided to learn how. Now I know and appreciate everything vibrato can do to a single note.
