RG Lochness Bengal

Hi folks,
I've been modding guitars for some years now but I've never got round to doing an RG before, so when I bought this body I thought it was crying out to go on the work bench.

These are a couple of shots I've taken tonight as I've just finished taking all the masking off.
]

I don't now if you can tell but the green has some metal flake in it (maybe it'll come out in later stages photo's ??)

Once these coats have cured for a few days I'll 1500 grit it back a bit and then start on the labourious task of clear coating.....thank god for ipods eh !

Updates to follow.

Ben

Re: RG Lochness Bengal

It's not a special mix it's all from rattle cans.
On top of some primer it's just one coat of green, one coat of sparke lacquer, one coat gree, one coat sparkle etc etc until it builds up to a decent finish.
Aprox 7 coats of each.

Great job Eggy. I like the sparkle that you added.

What type of neck/fingerboard are you going to put on? Pickups going to be Black/Green too?

Sadly it won'y get that far Angelo. It's going on the bay when it's clear coated to fund my next projects.
But Yes I agree ! To realy get the full effect hopefully the new owner will put black/green pups on it and a black headstock with a green Ibanez logo.

Re: RG Lochness Bengal

Umm how about doing a tutorial when you have time - that would be awesome. I'd love to do this to my HM Strat! VERY nice work! *both thumbs up*
