Shadows of the Flame demo

Just wanted to get your Ideas on my really really rough demo of a song of mine called Shadows of the Flame.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/writ...ve=chriscarson

As far as the drums go I will be redoing them using Drum Kit From Hell Superior. The intonation of the guitar is off because I never had the proper tools to set it and the high E is off. I wrote this song back in April and since then I have progressed as a player quite a bit. The mixes need work and the bass is a little too much over the top. However I just would like to get your feedback on all of this.

The song is on soundclick.com and the site may be hard to access but just try a few times. Also, if you want to you guys are more then welcome to listen to Loving Memory which is a song I wrote for my grandfather after he passed away. Im working on getting the timing right for that song.

Actually I was using a XXX head in the ultra channel. My setup has changed a bit since that recording.

tell me your feelings and mood during the intro to the song.

the intro was really eerie and very well done IMO. Good use of ambience.
