He's had a few necks. The original broke, he got one with a rosewood fretboard on it for ages and a few before he settled on that. Lately he found a neck he likes better with an ebony fretboard.

Wow he DID do a ****ty job. His timing and bends were off in multiple places, I've never seen Vai sound nearly as bad.
