I'm just off to defret my guitar and make the fingerboard a third of the length and see how I get on ;-)

don't forget to tune backwards (low-high GDAE)
i have been playing cello for 7 years, and believe me, that is about 10 times harder to play on a bowed intrument than on guitar.

I'm curious if "bow"ing is more difficult than
alternate picking
? Seems like picking all those notes at that speed with the same accuracy would be more difficult.

Bowing that would be more difficult than picking, however picking cleanly would also be difficult at that speed. I've been playing the violin for 5 years.

Beautiful sound from that. Loved it!
Do you plan on firing up the chainsaw or using a regular saw?
