Favorited. Although there already were many avant garde bands before 1976. you should do a checkup on Prog Rock history.

Rush, 2112. A classic, and only about 8 years after Yes came in 2nd to Pink Floyd in NME's 1968 "Best New Band" poll

Thanks. Rush - an absolute class band. I'm not familiar with most of their music but I do love some of their songs and their skill level and creativity are amazing.

THE Original? No. Good? Yes. To me Pink Floyd will always be THE best from the era.
