Transcription software (audio manipulation)

I'm not sure of the most appropriate place for this post so sorry if it needs to be moved.

I was thinking of buying the Tascam GT1 CD player/slowing down tool. I was looking at reviews and someone mentioned some software called 'Amazing Slow Downer'.

Had a look at it and it's great for working stuff out. Just timestretches both straight off a CD or mp3s etc. - MAC and PC version available.

Needless to say paying £25 for this is better than £150 for the Tascam (for me anyway).

I've been using AtomixMp3 player for a long time and it's free!!!

There´s also an Pacemaker plugin for Winamp 3.0 (alpha though)....

Timestrech, pitch, and overallspeed....

You can playback MP3 (or CD audio) to any speed.
