Updated Demos

I got some good comments from people on the original versions of these, so I thought I'd post a message to say I've updated them.

Demo 3

This one started out as just the intro, and stayed that way for a long time, but I finally have a full song to it. I'm not adding bass, etc. yet as I'm waiting to see if I get a band together that likes it and wants to add to it.

Demo 9 version 2

This one I posted a long time ago, but I've re-recorded it. The original was in drop-C and kinda sounded sloppy and the amp settings didn't help any. So this version's in drop-C# to tighten it up a bit, and the amp settings were better chosen to make it more clear sounding.

Both are at http://www.soundclick.com/eleven59

All comments welcome.

Thanx Lately I've been coming up with unfinished demos cuz I hope to put a band together soon and I'd like to have them contribute to them too if they like some of my ideas.

Your tone is great! Really crispy, perfect for a seven string; it rocks! It reminds me of Bob Oakmans tone.

Demo9 v2 is better.
Demo3 is awesome! Normally I'm very focused on lead instrumentals but I like those rhytmn ones very much! I added a few songs to my 'jemsite multimedia archive'. (I recorded them via the stereo mixer..)hehe I wish I had those rhytmn skills, it sounds really tight.

Keep it up man!

BTW. Sorry for waiting so long with my comments but I normally don't have many time at home; so I do Jemsite @ work and there's no soundcard in the PC there. I always download the MP3 songs and listen them on my laptop, but on Soundclick I can't...I'm not registered.

Howdy,

I really liked it...your tempo is just like a metranome, solid all the way through, impressive. I also liked the tone, nice and thick but not over the top with gain, almost like an old Korn type sound but with more clarity and definition. I also liked your chord choices, the structure would easily lend itself to vocals.

Nice work, keep it up...you play and record really well.

Thanks for the comments

I pay close attention to my tone when recording. The left side on both was a bright sounding Rectified2 setting on my Flextone II. The right side on Demo 9 v2 was Brit High Gain, and on Demo3 it was Line6 Insane. The clean tones were mainly the Line6 Clean.

As for my rhythm abilities, I've heard many times I've got a good sense of rhythm, but I think it helps that I record to a click track I just wish I could pick faster for some things.
