upload iMovie file to youtube?

Anyone know how to take an iMovie file and upload it to youtube? I tried just uploading the iMovie file and it said invalid format. I am assuming I have to convert it to another type of file. Any Mac users know how to accomplish this? Thanks.

File > Save as > Save as Mpeg4 or similar

You can also click "Export" (i think it's under edit) then "Mpeg4"
