Like the 25th fret, Monkey Grip, Lion's Claw, Scalloped board, set neck, carved arm contour, Mahogany body, Volute, H-H pickup set, and rear mounted hardware isn't going to do that already? Its already as far away from a UV77MC as it could possibly get.

The only thing I would do differently is stain that arm contour closer to purple if possible, oh and some kind of vine inlay.

Otherwise, if I saw it in a shop, even exactly as it is, my credit card would be coming right out of my wallet to buy it without a second thought.

Hey, some updates!
Well, this isn't going as fast as i wish, but anyway i'm learning a lot about guitar construction basics, step by step.
Since then, my next step was cuting part of the monkey grip and trem cavity:





That's the most dificult part of the construction, setting the height of the neck pocket, the correct angle of the neck, and the correct trem position, since it's obviously will be a glued set-neck.
Sounds like normal job, but the 25th extended fret can trick your mind sometimes...

So, the body gonna be drilled and 'refined' for full access on the lower horn.
Also, don't worry about that fretboard looking nasty: it gonna be oiled properly soon.




Also, there's a lot of job to do on the neckheel:




I'm really planning doing a RGA Carved Archtop and the EB/MM JPM forearm contour.
I'm thinking about doing the RUSTY COOLEY recessed lowerhorn on the back, like his DEAN 7 string.
Next week i'll spend my time (and health!!!) shaping the body, and everything is done by HAND (no-pain-no-gain) LOL
