Does anyone know why he agreed to do this? He tends to always shun Pop music...

funny thing is too that I bet 99% of the people there were like "who the hell is Steve Vai?"

id sooner listen to a blender than ms furtado! her voice sounds like shes attempting so sing through her nose the whole time!
beautiful accompaniment from steve though, as you would expect! hope this isnt a sign of steve resorting to extreme lengths for the sake of publicitys sake though

I agree with timi_h. Nelly Furtado is a very nasally(sp?) singer. I find that type of singing not only really annoying, but very off putting.

Steve's work on the guitar sounded a little too "brushed aside" for me, like it was competing with her voice, but just didn't have enough presence. Of course, I'm sure the audience was there for Furtado, not Vai. The accompaniment was good though.

I don't like her voice either
