i've had this on cassette since it was originally aired back in 1989/90 - i think it was the day P&W came out. I actually listened to it live....that's how odl I am. hehe

I'm (finally) making it digital. I don't mind sharing it, but i don't have the bandwidth available for posting it.

I'll try to keep the file size small - i'll definitely have to divide it into chunks of audio.

Does anybody want to host it?

I suppose i could AIM it to whoever wants it. should be done by tonight.

This is a must for any Vai fan. It's very long - close to 90 minutes (if i recall) and it's got good DLR stories and a bit of playing too.

I'm done with the first two 'chunks', one is 25 minutes, one is about 17 minutes. I'm recording the next bit now.

I can take down the bitrate a bit, but keep in mind, the original's quality is not great. It's a Maxell UR-Normal cassette tape from 1990...not to mention, there are parts where the radio's reception wasn't great.

EDIT 2: Saved much lower bandwidth and haven't sacrificed too much quality. 25 minutes mono is 5.7MB

ok...it's digitally immortalized now. Only took me 16 years to do it. :-p

the mp3 is 90 minutes long and it's 20MB.

I also have it on 4 separate chunks if anybody needs smaller bits.

I can AIM it to anybody whenever - i'm usually around at night (after 9pm Eastern/New York Time) Mon, Tue & Wed.

If somebody wants to host, let me know and i'll get it over to you.

Looks like you have to stare at the screen for about 50 seconds before you can download. For 90 minutes of fun, it's worth it!

For those unfamiliar with the show, Howard incorporates live commercials into his show. The file starts with one and there are a couple of others in there. Usually done in a funny way. The regular commercials are all cut.
