I am only going to get this ball rolling..
Carter Beauford: Dave Matthews Band..
I will go on record and say this is the most amazing drummer. He is so technical and just insane to watch, his high hat work is extrordinary. And he does it all while smiling and blowing bubblegum LMAO.. Doesnt look like hes even trying..
Amazing

The sad thing about Dave Mathews Band is they are just a singer and a guitar player away from being a really listenable band.

im going to have to call you out on this one Elcid.. The singer part yes, but Dave is one hell of a guitar player.. His rhythms are so complex and full of energy he can play with out a band and its incredible and rhytmatic full of percussive nuances that most players lack..
Singing he even admits he isnt a singer, but hes the best of the 5 in the band LOL

I dont know about all that. The guy bores me to tears, plus I hate hippies and there's that whole taking a dump on chicago thing. But everytime I see a jeep with an "I Heart DMB" sticker on it, and even worse it's being driven by a guy, it takes all the restraint I have to not run it off the road.

Beauford is without a doubt one of the greatest and most proficient drummers around today, he's amazing.
Imo, everyone in DMB is so talented and proficient with their intrsument it's astounding, and I love Dave's vocals. And yes, he is very awesome on the guitar, he's got more soul in his pinky than, well, I better not say
Thanks for reppin' Brett. DMB for life.
And it might be cliche, but it's also a fact: Portnoy is the mothaf*ckin man! Completely sick and then some.
And then theres Jason Rullo, omg, amazing.

Have you ever tried to play any of Dave's guitar parts? It absolutely dumbfounds me that Dave's able to play "Satalite" while singing, the two parts are rhythmically almost completely unrelated. Dave Matthews is one of the few guys who rivals
Joe Satriani
in terms of making complex chords sound "right."
Carter Beauford's a monster, and has an awesome sense of groove. But, if I could work with one drummer in the world, it'd be Tool's Danny Carey. The guy's phrasing is totally unlike any other rock drummer I've ever heard (he's studied indian tabla playing for years now, and it shows) and his grasp of polyrhythm is absurd. "Lateralus" is, IMO, a masterpeice of modern metal drumming.

Wow, almost fell asleep watching Carter. Virgil is still my favorite, with Rullo and Danny Carey aswell.
