What guitar is Joe holding here?

What kind of guitar is Joe holding here? This was taken while he was playing with Deep purple.

Darn, he beat me to it. Well, it is the Morse model. And it's a great guitar!

You'd be right; it's an older Steve Morse model though, what year was this taken?

The guitar doesn't even have a whammy bar. I don't like it so much. Nice color, though.

I think either 1993 or 1994. But I'm not sure.

Older? It's only the later few years any other model has been available. This model has been the same for many, many years. Early 90's at least. I don't know of any difference from one year to another. The later models only sport one single coil, and they're all somewhat purple.

It's strange to see Joe with a guitar, other than a JS. Here are two pictures of him, playing a Les Paul. They were taken during Les Paul's 90th birthday party.

That would be incorrect. Joe had hair back in 93-94. That pic was taken sometime in 2004.
