[YouTube] Metal Ballad jam with Pod X3

I've done a quick jam with my new Pod X3 Live, to check out my new 'shred' tone.
In a way it's a 'remake' of the Metal Ballad I did with my Zoom G9.2tt a few years ago, with a tone I made back then, which I dubbed 'Shredder's delight'
Hope you like it!

Nice playing man, was that the S7420? sounds very smooth through the Pod

Re: [YouTube] Metal Ballad jam with Pod X3

Thanks guys!
You can download the Line 6 tone file here:
http://bohemiq.scali.eu.org/Scali%20Lead%2010.zip
It's basically the Spinal Puppet amp with the Line6 4x12 cab, and the FX Boost + EQ in front.

And it's actually the S7320, not the S7420.

It' s always cool to me, the way ppl construct patches.
Almost always I never thought of their approach.

Re: [YouTube] Metal Ballad jam with Pod X3

Well, I got my idea from Brian May, when I first saw his Star Licks instructional video years ago.
He uses a treble booster. See this video, from 3:20 onward:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36fI7Y2-sZA

When I got my first tube amp, I got that 'confused noise', and I remembered Brian May's treble booster. Worked like a charm for me. And I've also tried it on multifx/modelers since then. With some of the amp models, putting a treble booster in front works quite well. On the Pod, the FX Boost + Eq effect can do that trick. You could also use a Tube Screamer for example.
