Got my tickets for the Metallica gig at the new Wembley stadium this morning
As I've seen them lots of times I'm actually more excited about going to the new stadium!!!

Let's hope theire new album will better than the last few attempts

I don't think I am, I'd rather spend the $$$ on beer.

I am going to see Porcupine Tree, Holdsworth, and Sonic Youth though.

Are they still together?

That's amazing.... that they could get Lars pulled away from his mutual fund broker's office long enough to tune his drum kit....much less go on tour.

Give 'em a break, they're old!

I think I have listened to Metallica thousands of times over the years, I just got tired of it.

Call me crazy, but I think this new album will be.....decent !

Let's hope so now that Rick Rubin is producing their next album.

I'm also a fan of Megadeth and have watched them a few times, I've never walked away thinking "what a gig". On the other hand, one of my favourite gigs of all time was Metallica's set at one of the Donnington appearances (non headlining). I know this was hundreds of years ago but they were awesome that day. I have never seen or been involved in a mosh pit as big as that when they played Battery, it was mental!

Sure, they've got older and imho their last few albums have been ****e, but I'm still a fan.

Re: Anyone else going to see Metallica?

Fwiw I think it will be a great show, but I have seen them on the last tour, so I think this time my money is better spent elsewhere (see above).

You're probably their only fan, LOL!

As far as paying for a Metallica show, I'd rather spend the money getting an escort to come to my house.
