Anyone going to Glastonbury Festival?

I managed to get tickets on Sunday!

Anyone else from jemsite going?

I seem to be posting loads lately :/ I think I've become too lazy to do anything more productive.

Not going this year, but I visted Glastonbury in 2001-02 while I was attending the International Guitar Festival (IGF) in Bath (A great experience) I loved Glastonbury....what a vibe that place has!!! Is it a music / guitar festival or a New Age festival since Glastonbury is the New Age capital of the world.

Re: Anyone going to Glastonbury Festival?

Went last year but won't be there this year as I'm gigging over that weekend. Am going to try and get to Reading on the Sunday to see the Maiden tho!

Have a great time. If The Vontronic Quartet are palying up in the Circus Fields then be sure to check them out. They do some awesome AC/DC covers on electric mandolins with full on overdrive and 'behind the head' solos!!

Officially it's Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts. But it's really a giant festival (over 900 acres) with a few music stages (mainstream ones, a jazz/world stage, a dance tent, an acoustic tent etc), and tons of other stuff like a circus area, a caberet tent (everything from weird theatre to excellent stand up comedy), a healing field, a 'green' field etc etc.

It does have big mainstream type bands on the main stages but the best stuff is always the weird little things you find as wander about, like the Vontronic Quartet mentioned above. We found a ballroom and a chapel last time we wandered around
