The ticket prices for concerts in Australia is ridiculous... $44us to see G3, its $129 here. Roger Waters is coming here early next year, $198 for the crap seats, $400 for the good ones.

This is a growing trend these days. Gold, Silver & Bronze seats, these Platnuim specials and all that crap. I'll tell you one thing, there are not to many concerts I'll be going to anymore... Not at these crazy prices

Yup, anyone know why?? I know Australia is kinda out in the middle of nowhere but still, that doesn't justify highway robbery..

Anything to do with musical gear, concerts etc, is highway robbery here in OZ.
For example, when The Eagles toured here i think the going rate on the good seats was $560AU, you'd think at those prices they have trouble selling tickets.
Actually the opposite happened, shows sold out without hours, and every venue they played was full to capacity.
I guess when you take into account the logistics of shipping stuff to OZ, bands only touring here once in a blue moon, and people willing too pay outrageous prices, companies will continue to charge those type of prices.
