I might be able to sweet talk the soon to be wife into letting me go ( 2 days after the wedding ) just before we take off to Fiji for the honeymoon.
Is anyone else planning on attending the show at the "Riv"

Yes, I'll be attending the show at the Riv. Although the date is Tuesday July 10th. Are you in any local Chicago bands?

Ah, the elusive shift in power. How does that happen? I'm still trying to figure that one out. Anyway, see you at the show.

I'm going too, I've been waiting forever for this tour to happen! *I'm bringing my sister, aren't I a nice guy? *
(by the way, my soon- to- be wife let me go too. *Shift in power? *I don't think I ever had the power.)

I will be there, is your sister nice?
Coming down from Pell Lake, WI just to say hi to MK
and oh yeah, check out the show too! Everything I've heard from people who have seen this show has been
very positive. Should kick some major butt! Look for a guy in a Black Symphony X shirt, that'll be me......

Yeah my sister's cool. *I gave her the G3 video, the Satch tapes, and 3 Dream Theater videos, so she know what to expect. *She only listens to Satriani, she's never really listened to Vai or DT
Anybody heard what Petrucci is going to play? *Can't be LTE, because I don't think there is a keys player. *

I'll be at the Chicago show,
I'm so pumped for this I can hardly wait.
I've never seen Vai, Satch or DT/Petrucci live,
and I'm sure I won't be dissapointed.

Anyone from Chicago or the Chicago area,

I'm going to be spending the night at the Holiday Inn downtown on E. Ohio street.
I couldn't find anywhere to stay that was closer than 5 miles to the Riviera, so I just decided to stay at the Holiday Inn.
I've been there before so I know where it is. *
What's the best way for me to get to the Riviera from there?
Should I just call a taxi?
I'm assuming parking anywhere near the theater is probably a going to be a pain.

Thanks

Phil

Phil, i've been to both Vai and Satch at HOB chicago, believe me you won't be disappointed ! anyone knows if the guys are having an autograph/meet-the-fans-session?? i wanna get my guitar signed, VAI's on it, it's Satch's turn, LOL.... btw, i live barely a block from riviera, not too good of a neighborhood, but i'm sure alot of ppl envy me *wink* anyway, Phil, take the CTA red line from downtown (there's a station at chicago/state and grand/state) north-bound towards Howard and stop at Lawrence, $3 for 2 ways. and yes, parking sux here with the aragon ballroom and riviera right around the corner. get down from the station, head west towards the traffic lights and if you're late, you'll see the line =) cheers !! 9 more days wooohooooo!!!

Ja50n,

Thanks for the info, the CTA sounds cheap and easy. I got the train schedules off of their website.
Define late? I think the doors open at 6:30PM, right?
What time should I get there?

Bam,
I think I'm gonna wear my Jemsite swirlshirt to the show as well.

Later

Phil
