D Theater/Satch/king's X Houston 8/17

I saw the Dallas show on Friday...the scoop on DT you won't find in the reviews:

- they had matching black t-shirts
- the rotating keyboard stand was mesmerizing
- the singer likes to whip his hair back
- the bass player has really long hair too, but does not whip it around
- as if double bass drums are not enough...they had triple (do their amps go to 11??)

Actually it was a great show...hadn't seen a bass player's fingers move that fast since i saw Stanley Clark. That 12 had piezos...sounded nice. GP was right, JS cooked, and seemed more animated that last time I saw him.

Greg- I'm sorry I didn't get to email ya back. I got it as we were walking out the door to the airport.
The ticket would have been very cool, but we were so busy with a very tight schedule on Friday...I'm not sure how we could have hooked up. We decided to drive down to Gabe's after Rachel's interview...just get on the road and get the drive over with. :-) I did appreciate the offer!

Next time we come down, I'll hook up with ya. Promise!

BTW- 3.5 hours from Parker Rd. in Plano to Gabe's front door (in a Taurus, no less). I LOVE TEXAS HIGHWAYS!!!
