Dream Theater - Argentina last night :D

DAMN!!!!!!!

Saturday was awesome, played for about 3 hours, whole Octavarium, the end to 6doit from Solitary Shell and on, Learning to Live... lots of stuff...

but... LAST NIGHT!!

they played about 1:30hs, and then were supposed to play The Dark Side of the Moon, but when they play the lil intros to concept albums and make the record scratch several times, at one point the clock from Scenes came about... AND THEY PLAYED SCENES FROM A MEMORY COMPLETE!!!! we couldnt believe it, lots of people crying, it was awesome, i dont think they ever saw so many people singing their whole album out loud like last night... and then they played half Pull me Under/half Metropolis with everyone singing incredibly too... It was hands down the best show ive ever been to... hell, even Myung was rising his arms shouting and banging his chest at the end

damn, what a night

I was so happy when they played Under A Glass Moon since it's one of my favorite songs but no Liquid Tension songs.

Re: Dream Theater - Argentina last night :D

I was at that show, and I had a VERY different impresion.

The sound was awfull... wait terrible describes it best. It sounded like the first Napalm Death rehearse.

The first part of the show was incredibly boring.

The tide turned (slightly) in the second half. The scenes of a memory set was OK, but they only played Pull me under from the Images and words album.

Why on earth did they play that crap for the first comnplete hour instead of playing an Images and words set???????

This is not Tokio, its not like they came here 20 times and played those songs 10 times!!!!!!!!

Just my 2 cents

Re: Dream Theater - Argentina last night :D

The sound was kinda crap for about half the 1st show, then it was mainly a matter of where you stood... still, its the crap sound we can expect from local organizers (same as the lack of screens, whatever...)

Ill be the 1st to admit i dont really like the new stuff that much, but i really enjoyed it live... And we had our fair share of old stuff from I&W (Under a Glass Moon, Learning to Live, Pull me Under/Metropolis 1), Awake (Caught in a Web, The Mirror + Lie), Falling (Peruvian Skies, Help me Breathe), and then the whole SFAM after saying they wouldnt play it complete again 5 years ago...

Only thin i missed was a lil Change of Seasons, but oh well...

Both nights were a must...
