G3 - 7/3 - Denver - Anybody else going?

Just checking to see if any fellow Jemsiters in Colorado will be at the show?

I'll definitely be there, as will Shawn (Trapzilla). *I'm sure Roger (rgr) will most likely be there too. *Should be a great show! *It'll definitely be an improvement over the last two G3 shows when the Fillmore was still the Mammoth- *WAY better sound!

She's doing fine! *I absolutely love the guitar. *I was thinking of replacing the pickguard but then decided not to as I probably wouldn't play it as much. *If the pickguard's a little clouded then I'm more apt to just plug in and jam! *:-)

Got my ticket yesterday. I won it off E-bay for less than $15. What a deal.

My girlfriend's brother is an assistant with the lightboard system at the Fillmore, so she thinks he can get me REAL close to the men of G3.

Yeah, I'll be there, with my wife, brother-in-law, some friends. *I also talked my guitar teacher into going with us. *Don't know if Wyldbill is going or not, I'll have to get in touch with him. *

Cool! *I'll e-mail you guys separately as the show gets closer. *Even if we can't watch from the same place, we can at least meet up somewhere along the way.

I'm psyched for this. *I've seen Satch a bunch of times and he always kicks ass. *I've seen Vai with DLR and Whitesnake, and with the band VAI (which totally sucked). *I'm really looking forward to seeing him like this. *And with Sheehan no less! *And of course Petrucci will be awesome as usual, especially with Mike on drums. *Man I can't wait.

This'll be my 9th or 10th Vai show, and my 6th Satch show-and I'm just as psyched as I was for my 1st! *Each time, those guys pull off something even more amazing than the last. *Should be a great show!

Im sorry if i sound like a dumb but where and when is the next G3 ganna be? And is going to be Satch, Vai, and Johnson again? Well start making fun of me......

According to Satch, there WILL be another G3 next year (2003). Chances are it'll be Vai, Satch and another guitarist who has not been announced yet. It'll probably be at least another 6 months or so before any more info is released though. I'm guessing that the 3rd guitarist will be a new name that hasn't graced a G3 bill yet.

I really couldn't see EVH stooping so low as to co-headline with anybody

Paul though....definitely! PG would definitely be my first choice.

Of course, it might be interesting if they chose somebody like Buckethead, or perhaps even Al DiMeola...somebody that would really add a contrast to the show.
