Idea for a sticky thread, details inside, please read mods

Hi, I have missed so many good acts the past 5 years or so. Tony MacAlpine, Vinnie Moore, you name it. This is due to the dismal promotion these acts get. I usually find out the next day. Would it be a good idea to have a thread where people could post when they find out about new tours? We could restrict it to guitar related bands/players, if that is agreeable. Obviously, we can do that anyway, but unless you like searching and reading through every thread in here, it would get annoying. A common, sticky thread would be conveniant. The thread would not be for discussion, or opinions... just one liners, like:

"Vinnie Moore, US tour starting mid August, check www.vinniemoore.com. " <-- made that up


Something like that. Opinions?

The whole idea is a good one. However, the only advantage it has is convienience, as this whole forum area is dedicated to those subjects.

However, a sticky 'important tour' announcement thread couldn't hurt, I know I'd check it frequently

Might be a good idea to actually put it in the topic devoted TO tours and going to shows. It's called "Tours: Going to Shows"

There's really NO need for a "sticky" thread, since there is an entire topic for the discussion of upcoming shows, etc.
