I too doubt this as Maiden helped define a whole genre of music.They might not be the force they once were,but they are true pioneers/originators,and one the most original bands going.Often imitated, NEVER bettered

Yeah, saying a new band will blow Maiden away would have been like saying EVH would have blown Hendrix away in '78 had Jimi still been around. Maybe technically, but you can't really compare.

I dont think theres a band in the world who could go on stage after Maiden and actually better them. They put so much effort into their shows, and their back catalogue of songs is pretty much untouchable!

Cant wait to see them this year, saw them 3 times on the Dance of Death tour, looks like ill just be doing one this year though.

Amen. I'm seein em too on December 22nd, Earls Court. Can't wait! I saw Nicko and Bruce play together at the London Guitar Show actually a few weeks ago, bloody amazing!!!! I was like, ten feet away lol!
