Re: Porcupine Tree 2007 Tour
Why WOULDNT one go for porc tree? Amazing band! I've had the pleasure of hanging with them on a number of occasions, very cool guys. I'll definitely catch one or two of these dates. Can't wait for the new album.

I agree, I hope the new album gets away from what they've been recycling the last 2.

No Detroit show yet, so were planning a trip to HOB in Cleveland. Same thing happed on the FOABP tour, then they added a show way later. No complaints as i get to see them twice i guess. My fave current band for sure.

Re: Porcupine Tree 2007 Tour
It would be nice if at least one of the shows I could presumably get to wasn't Gen Adm, as I'd like to take my daughters (who are pre-teens and short).

Re: Porcupine Tree 2007 Tour
Chicago 9-22-09.
King's X opened for Tree.
Great show, Doug sounded great and they did a nice cross section of music. couple songs from the new album, Dogman, etc. They did a killer extended version of Over my Head that broke down into a Frampton comes alive kinda feel, but very cool.
Tree opened up with Occam's Razor off the new album and continued through a lil more than half the new album. Then the 2nd half of the show they went into slightly older material and ended the night with "Trains"
Great show, really moody and of course the patented HUGE tree sound.
Aural tapestry, full of nuance and color. if you even remotely like Tree, get to one of their shows!

Re: Porcupine Tree 2007 Tour
Last night in NYC = the BEST I've ever seen Porcupine Tree (this was my 7th time). The visuals were just amazing. they played The Incident start to finish, and then did a set of 6-7 older songs too. If I recall correctly....
The Start of Something Beautiful, Strip the Soul, The Sound of Muzak, Russia On Ice, Anesthesize (half of it or so), Trains, etc.
Got to hang with the band after the show and add to my signed Tree memorabilia haha. King's X was decent but their sound was messed up (wayyy too loud).
