Well, I got off my butt and decided that the opportunity to see Vai, sheehan et al twice was too good to pass up and bought my ticket for the second gig (I already had one for 6th).
Who out of you madcap maniacs is going on the Friday, and if so are a few beers before/after on the cards?

I am going on the Thursday and will buy a ticket for the Friday when I get back from New York.

I believe we are meeting in the Intrepid Fox in Soho before the gigs.

The Astoria is THE worst venue to see a band (especially if one is, ahem, vertically challenged). *I was Yngwie there recently and couldn't see a damn thing and had to endure soaring temperatures-and paid well over the odds for the priviledge. *I left after an hour! *I will never go there again to see any band.

The Manchester Apollo, on the other hand, is a great place to see Vai and they have *'Green Room' where one can sit and chat to Vai et al for ages and in comfort (that is if you have a backstage pass <wink>)
