HOLY CRAP what a show last night! ! ! !
I won't give any of the set list away, but the new lineup rivals, if not tops, any I've seen to date from Vai. Amazing set and encore.
Got to meet the man backstage, but when I had my drummer snap the pic, his thumb covered the flash, the pic can ve seen, but it looks like it was taken with 1200 ASA film. Not real thrilled about that.
I generally don't intimidate easily, but I felt like a deer in headlights last night.
Steve was cool, sadly it lasted all of 30 seconds, but he was cool, funny and very gracious. The show was over around midnight with an 8:00 start, so my feet were killing me, I can only imagine how tired everyone else was.

Ann MArie Calhoun (Violinist) left permanent burn marks where she stood at the HOB, she was absolutely smokin' hot, as a player and a woman.
Her stage presence was awesome. Alex, the othjer violinist was astounding as well, both played their asses off.

Met another fellow Jemsiter last night, Shredmaster was there as well, very cool guy. Hope the Ankle feels better today, man.

IF you don't have tix, get them, ASAP, this show is a MUST see. I'd compare it to seeing Hendrix or Zeppelin live, a true thing of beauty that has to be experienced.

No show is worth getting your knees and ankles shot!!! I just don't know why Vai takes so long to come out and play his gig or why the heck he keeps bringing lousy opening acts with him!

Uhh, my knees and ankles are just fine.
Me feet were sore from being on them all day, but the show was well worth a lil discomfort. I got home around 3:00a.m. and I'd do it again..

yeah it was a hell of a show there, I rolled in after the opening act so I didn't have to stand the entire time but still was a ton of standing. Man was that place packed or what. The after show thing took awhile too and I was disappointed that the several guys in front of me talked forever to steve so by the time I was up there they started pushing us to go really fast since so many people were there and my photo turned out terrible but the whole thing was still sweet.
