They should be. They've released all the others to DVD. Just don't know when.

My buddy had the VIP backstage pass thingy and asked Satch about it. He said there would be no DVD this time however let's hope he was just fibbing.

I think he should release it on DVD as a way of apologising to all the fans around the rest of the world as the tour didn't visit them

Either that or do a world tour with THAT EXACT LINE-UP!!!

I'm ready for another G3, I caught the one with Gilbert and the one with Malmsteen. I just hope they don't do Eric Johnson again, he don't fit in in my opinion, just to different of style.

I'm really disappointed about that...sounds like he's serious...why would he say that otherwise? If there is one G3 I would like to own it's that one

There's a group that filmed the NY one, and released it for free online for download. Check your torrents. I've got a copy but haven't had time to watch it properly yet.

Satriani and Vai are both Sony artists through Epic so putting out a DVD is a bit of a two-fer for their label.
Paul is Universal in Japan and distributed in the US through Shrapnel. Pertucci is indie (I think). As such I'm guessing the DVD is in the "not likely" category...unfortunately!
Very sad! It was a great G3. Thankfully there's lots of bootlegs on the Internets.

I hope that isn't the reason!! These artists rage about illegal downloads hurting them, but then can't put out what would be a hugely popular (within the genre) DVD due to politics and red tape!!

Where are people gonna go running to......internet bootlegs!!!

Trust me, I'd be one of the first in line for this, but Epic isn't going to pay for a DVD to be made when two of the artists are not theirs.
On the flip side, while (hypothetically) a powerful entity like Epic might decide to get youtube to yank Satriani vids, Paul's has lots of material that stays up there. While the "free" internet hurts some artist, it helps others - like Paul.
