Re: 7 String Melodic Instrumental Guitar!
Melody is great but extremely boring if you're using such generic, modal preogressions. Any good musician will tell you that the most important thing in a melody is phraasing then note choice, you seem to put the later first and don't give much thought to phrasing.
Sorry but it just sounded like a shred cd to me.
Very good art btw

Thank you very much for your input. I appreciate it. I'll be honest, you are the first person to say it's just another shred album. Maybe you didn't listen to all the songs but I can assure you it's not just another shred album. Sure, there are a few moments where I let lose a bit but I play by feel As for sitting down and trying to 'figure out' what scales or notes 'should' be played I don't, I just play.

Re: 7 String Melodic Instrumental Guitar!
I did listen to most of the songs, it's the same melodies that all the shredders use just without the 'shred'. The progressions and grooves (or lack thereof) are boring as hell and they're not so much songs as they are jam tracks with you soloing the whole way through.
Just some constructive criticism, make the songs more interesting, try to cement a main melody in each song rather than just random melodies over random progressions, I could take sections from the whole album, mix them up and it wouldn't make any difference.

Re: 7 String Melodic Instrumental Guitar!
Anyone interested. I have officially begun work and a follow up album. I am really looking forward to this one. It will be an all acoustic album this time around.
