A rare Dream Theater song

Has anyone heard "Eve" by Dream Theater? It was only released on the Silent Man single, and I believe there are some live bootlegs of it floating around. It's one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard...highly recommended for any DT fan to hear!

Yes, Eve is really one of Dream Theater's top archivments, I think that "Beautiful" is the best word to describe it, it's their most beautiful song IMO

I have a couple different versions of that song, one is the Silent Man single and a couple other bootlegs and demos. Kewl little number and it is one of the things that DT did best in the Moore and Sherinian era live.
They did the coolest segues into other songs.

Eve is one of those that I've heard tie into Killing hand and a few other tunes. Very cool on its own as well.

Really? Was anything else on that mini CD? My friend had a Japanese pressed "Falling Into Infinity" that had some really cool stuff on it.

eve was recorded during the awake sessions and was supposed to be on awake but unfortunately got dumped because it wouldnt fit on the disc. Its one of my fav dream theater tunes but really isnt dream theater at all. Its more like Kevin Moore solo with cool petrucci fills and solo. Another great unreleased track is To Live Forever which if I'm not mistaken is on the Lie single cd. Its good on the cd but absolutely superb on the Live in Tokyo vid when it leads to the petrucci solo spot. BTW....i've never heard Eve as lead in to the killing hand. Another Hand was the only one I've heard which i've seen live and is also on Live at the Marquis. And probably the hardest unreleased tune to find is the original change of seasons written back during the images and words sessions. I had an MP3 of this being played live and its far better than the watered down version released in 96....although the 96 version had parts rewritten using the 7 string. Still, kevin moore and john petrucci do some smokin unison playing in a couple of the solo spots. The 91 version is entirely played on 6 string.

like i said...very hard to find. I HAD an mp3 which i was able to find on
k@zza. I would have kept it...the live recording was superb but i ditched it because it was only 3/4 of the song and I was searching for the whole thing. It is out there. I just havent really spent a lot of time looking. I have heard that some of the bootleg CDs from the early dream theater days have the song in its entirety. My advice would be to search k@zza. Someone there is bound to have it.

I have the studio version of "A Change Of Seasons" done with Kevin Moore...it sounds kind of like a rough demo, but still some very good harmonies. I think I have a live version of it with Kevin Moore as well...I'll put both songs up if everything is ok with the moderators.

Oh yeah, I also have a billion and one versions of "To Live Forever," so if you're looking for something particular, let me know.

After looking through a couple things, I found the live version of "A Change Of Seasons" with Kevin Moore really isn't that rare...it's on the "Taste The Memories" fan club CD.
