it's a ferocious piece of work and andy never disappoints. thing i like about his style is that he has a very large vocabulary and theoretical knowledge, yet he knows how to incorporate it in a decidely rock vein and never ventures into prog or fusion territory (although he could easily do it with his chops and musical knowledge). andy is perhaps the most versatile rock instrumental player out there, he can really do it all...and do it convincingly.
this awesome thing about this cd is that it's stripped down to a true trio vibe. you have one guitar track, bass and drums and no overdubs and (if i remember right) no harmonies. makes everything sound very raw and there's no room for mistakes.
and...i get to see him play all these tunes again tonight
