Andy Timmons ROCKS!!!!!!!
WOW! I just heard some of Andys songs and now I am in love with his music! He is just awesome player but also good composer. His song It's Getting Better is fantastic, my new favorite song. Now I've got to buy some
Andy Timmons
album. Is there any Andy Timmons fans out there. Btw, is there anyone who owns or have played his signature Ibanez?

Yep. The inlays look little weird to me. Cry For You is really good song also.

Re: Andy Timmons ROCKS!!!!!!!
I love his music, he's got the best overall style of anyone, he can play any style with fluency, his tone is beautiful, phrasing superb and technique flawless.
He's probably the best allrounder of all the "Shred Heads" out there.
I met him at a clinic and He's also one of the nicest fellas you could ever meet, very willing to talk to fans and fellow guitarists.
BUY ALL HIS CDS AND HIS SIGNITURE GUITAR!!! MAKE HIM RICH!!! HE DESERVES IT!!!

I like Andy Timmons and I think his sig model is pretty nice. Cool inlays too.
Anybody know if he's still playing 7-string every now and then?

Re: Andy Timmons ROCKS!!!!!!!
Andy Timmons quickly became one of my favorites after I heard his records. It's not just about noodling solos (I like that too, though), he's really making
music
and does it in a variety of styles. Great session player.

I like his sig. model too but I wish they had equipped it with the VS-100 trem and not the vintage type.

As far as I know, he no longer plays 7-strings. He mentioned before that the only time he played one was during the "Seventh Heaven" Ibanez shoot, and it was an acoustic. He tried selling that one before, I dunno if someone successfully bought it from him though.

Re: Andy Timmons ROCKS!!!!!!!
Andy rocks. I had an AT300 for awhile and it's a great guitar. Unfortunately, it couldn't come close to my favorite Strat, so it had to go
Timmons is definitely one of the most versatile and underrated players out there though.

Bah, I would have to disagree with this, most of his stuff is fairly similar, but you're right about him not getting the recognition he deserves.

Heh, I would like to buy all his albums and signature guitars and make him rich, but I don't have money for that. It's nice to see that there is people that like his music.

Maybe some of his rock stuff is similar, but that's just because it's his style. But versatility? Absolutely. He's unreal. I've seen him do country, rock, unbelieveable blues, real jazz etc. - all VERY convincingly. He's way more versatile then most players I've ever seen. Right up there with Guthrie, Thal and Morse in my opinion. But I just enjoy his phrasing so much and I know some other well known "shredders" who are just enamered with him because of it. Harder to duplicate tasty, improvised note choices than it is to do the latest licks.
As good as he is at replicating various styles, his biggest strengths are improvising and bending, I'd say. Guthrie and Thal have set the standard for versatility too high, heh heh. But yeah, BIG Timmons fan here.
Great guy too. What you see is what you get with him.
