Any Jake E Lee Fans Out There?

i recently read in a magazine about how he developed a techniqure involving his left thumb coming under the neck and allowing him to play mega wide intervals, anyone know of any videos where he does this or even better an instructional cos ive tried it and all i can get is cramp as well as looking foolish!!

The ultimate sin is my favourite ozzy album (no offence to all randy rhoads fans ). You can see him do that in the live performance video that was on MTV around the time that the album came out.If you can find it anywhere.

i didnt realise it was more of a capo idea i got the impression he used it like another finger hence me trying to move it too much and getting hurt!

That vid is real cool.
My guitar teacher told me about this jazz guitarist who would bring his thumb round to make more complex chords, not like on the bass strings but on the higher ones.

He had great tone and played great.
I was however dissapointed in his tone on the Lords of Karma. His sound was terrible.

I think Jake was one of the reasons Charvel sold so many guitars.
He and Ratt were some of the most prominent players of them in the early 80's.
Most people dont know that he actually played modded Fenders with Charvel stickers on the headstocks.

Ive always loved Jake. I wish his playing would get in a "direction" like it was back in the Ozzy or early Badlands days. Its seems to be fragmented and all over the place based on that last solo album. I think he does the best when he plays within the confines/settings of a band.
