I can't wait for this album to arrive on my doorstep on Monday. All the Podcasts, YouTube clips sound fantastic.

I just hope they extend the tour to the UK

I thought it was awful, and that they didn't do themselves any favors with that performance...

I wanted to love it but was sorely disappointed!

I thought it was ok. I just got the CD from Best Buy. It's very good.

I only got as far as the third song...I guess I was expecting more, but it's not bad! I love Joe but so far it doesn't sound like typical Satch at all... Not a bad thing, just an observation.

Yeah, I wasn't completely overwhelmed. And before the Sammy bashers chime in, I will say that the guy can sing his heart out and put on a great live show. I just think that the song they played on Conan, as a whole, wasn't really well written. I've heard better tracks from the CD.

Anyways, I thought it was OK, and I'm looking forward to giving the album an in-depth listen.

It was a good song to "introduce" the band to the masses. There may be better written, better shredding, better lyrics, but it's supposed to appeal to the masses. Sammy's voice was a little rough, but he can bring it live, and for 63?! Please. I only hope I have that much energy then!

That's what some people don't get either (The Gear Page...

). It really is supposed to just be straight-up rock and roll. I'll take it any day over 90% of the garbage that rides the airwaves these days...

As an aside to the Conan program...The CD is just short of fantastic...My least favorite song is the one they performed on the show "OH YEAH"...They did a very good job, and I think the band was put together to hit all points musically...Satch gets the players, Sammy and Michael get the old school guys, and Chad makes it seem up to date for the younger people to find interest...The CD gets better with each track so that by the end it is very satisfying...

I just got the cd. It is pretty good. It is nice to actually here Mike's bass. All those years in Van Halen it seemed Eddie would not allow the bass to be heard unless he was playing it.

I was hoping they would play Cut #2- 'Soap on a Rope' - I see that as the big single on the CD.
Also, cut #6- 'Get It Up' is really growing on me. I was reading an article where they were interviewing Chad and he said that Satch is clearly in charge - "we're not going to do that - we're going to do this..." type thing and everyone is looking to Joe for the final say on things. I like that.

it's pretty funny, maybe satch will make more money out of this band than he has with his whole solo career.

many people seem to be missing the point with this band. to me, it seems like it's just a bunch of old rockers having fun and making some good old rock and roll. satch definitely brings more depth to the band than any other generic rocker would.

I kind of got the feeling it was more Sammy having the final say. But perhaps it is the two of them. They seem to have written most of the songs together. Good stuff regardless. Definitely, summer cruising music with the windows rolled down.
