Anyone want a free Steve Vai CD?

I actually love the Sex & Religion CD...

Highlight for me is the song PIG. So dissonant it's blissful.

But yeah, each to their own.

It's the only Vai CD that I don't own. I bought two songs from it from iTunes - Touching Tongues and State of Grace. I also kinda like the solo from Pig and intro to Rescue Me or Bury Me, but that's about it.

Not everyone can grasp Vai music- kinda like Harley motorcycles- you either love em or hate em.

Devin is great in SYL or his latest Accelerated Evolution solo CD, but I thought he took away from Vai's stuff on S&R.
I saw Steve last week and he did do Rescue Me Or Bury Me solo with an acoustic- he kicked ass.

Passion & Warfare is a landmark CD and actually changed the landscape of rock music. It would be difficult for ANYONE to follow up with a CD just as strong.

I love Vai music and am very glad it's out there- even S&R.

Is it just me, or does anyone else prefer davester1234's version of Touching Tongues to Vai's? I'm not sure what it is about Vai's version, but davester's sounds more natural and just better overall in my opinion.

I've never heard Devin sing it. Steve sang that one on Sex & Religion.
