Ashlee Simpson on SNL

Anyone see this? The vocal track started too early when she wasn't moving her lips, so she didn't even try to cover it up, instead she just danced off stage while the band kept playing.

Didn't see it but I'm sure that would've been funny as hell to watch.

You'd think that after Millie Vanillie they would have had something to learn.

(link removed because I'm not sure the guy hosting wants that much traffic, see below for a better quality version of the video in pawel's post)

Priceless!
I really like how she goes on to blame the band for playing the wrong song.

Well, hopefully her phoney carrer is over.

Argh! My computer at work won't let me view it! I could hear the audio & could already tell this'll be hysterical. I can't wait to see this when I get home.

Hey Donnie, what's a "carrer?"

I saw it too.....I'm really embarrassed for her...that really sucks. The video popped up really fast.....someone already posted on her site like a half-hour after SNL aired it...hehe. It's funny reading all those hate threads....and I read that the West Coast saw an edited version of the mishap.

But you gotta love live television

priceless

BTW, Jude Law's monologue was hilarious....anyone know where I can download that?

Jude Law is a class act, though. I think he has a very bright future.

That is SO unprofessional to leave the band hanging like that... you know, it would have been classier to even simply just start lip-synching wherever the track left off and screw if people know you're lip-synching. But, she's just a kid and probably isn't aware of things like that.

I have to admit though, props to the band for playing on- and they sounded pretty damn good without her!

That was priceless, but what I found even funnier, is the people on other boards (that i browsed through in search of a Hi-Res Video) who talked about her being "found out". As if majority of performances on TV or at award shows weren't lip-sunced...

The band was being very professional though, it was funny to see how they tried their best not to laugh...

Well, I found out that it's not only that the vocals started early, it was the wrong song (the one she had already sang that night, and apparently lip synced badly too).

I can understand having a bad show...but she just doesn't seem to care at all.

That has become the equivalent of "saving face" these days.

I don't see what the big deal about her screwing up the lip-sync is. We all knew she was doing it anyway. It looks funny but I disagree with regarding it as this inmense revelation. Some of us aren't fooled when they do it [lip-synching] right, so this shouldn't really be such a big deal.

A cause to worry would be if she did it at her actual shows.
