Ashley Simpson at her finest

Ashley Simpson on SNL caught lip syncing (sp?)

http://www.collegehumor.com/news/ashlee_snl.wmv

Later on in an interview, she blamed her band for playing the wrong song.

Yeah, well, who's singing the wrong song? Very funny.

Let's face it, most of the musical TV appearances that I catch are lip-synced (I dunno how to spell it either) anyway. Why lie about it? Does Brittany Spears even sing on her albums?

Poor girl! I wouldn't care if anybody lip sync's but it would really suck for that to happen like that.

I didn't know if I should laugh or cry! On one hand, it wasn't her fault that they started the wrong song, but on the other... Oh hell, it was just plain hilarious!!

Just another no-talent hack in the music biz. She just happened to get busted on it.

I don't even understand why have someone who can't sing or play elevated to that status???

I do like the fact that the band just kept going after she just kind of disappears...LOL

LOL but the only surprising factor is that this doesn't happen more regularly on these obviously lip sync'd "performances". It is quite ironic given the TV status that her intellectually challenged sister has attained.

Just another reason to turn of the TV... glen

I wonder about this, myself. The explanation is simple, though.

eMpTyV tells the sheep that it's great, and this is what you get.

I just wish they'd at LEAST stop pushing these ugly anorexic girls out there. I may be in the less vocal opinion, I think that there is absolutely nothing attractive about most of these stick figure "women".

I saw her "real" live act [3 songs anyway and a whole lot of practice footage] when she played the Whisky. She's quite good, in fact I'd much rather listen to her than her sister Jessica.

Sometimes you people should remember she's a 17? year old GIRL. Not like performing in front of live TV on a heavy market share is enough pressure on it's own.

I Don't care.
17, 70, if you can't play, then bug-off.
She obviously wasn't singing and who knows, what you saw was faked too.
Her msg boards were bombarded with jeers of people calling her out as the fraud she is. I'm guessing it wasn't even HER voice on the recording.
