I was there, too. My first time seeing Vai live (not on DVD) and was immediately impressed by the quality and balance of the sound... no one was too loud, muddy, or lost in the mix. I was on the Sheenan and Weiner side and that's a mini show right there. Vai did a brief acoustic interlude with the Euphie and "debuted" a new electric song called "I Am Becoming"-- *lots* of Sustainiac use here. It was a mix of new (Real Illusions) songs and really old ones... yet crowd favorites like Bad Horsie, Tender Surrender, and The Animal were NOT featured.
Raves: Sardinas' bass player / Vai's combination of sincerity and goofyness with the crowd / that nifty
double neck mirror Jem / Vai's backup band virtuosos
Rants: that song was what ? / drum solos / MacAlpine's synth solo / idiots with cameras and camera phones (i understand 1 or 2 pics, but.......)
